Mrs. Price

Colleen Price grew up on a farm in Nebraska, which she contributes to her love for learning and teaching. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. She also has her Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University.

Colleen has over 20 years of teaching experience in Elementary Schools. She has taught in classrooms in Kansas, Nebraska, Kentucky, New York and Michigan. She also did a tour teaching for the Department of Defense Schools in Aschaffenburg, Germany in a third grade classroom.

She moved to Michigan in 2004 due to her husband’s career in the automotive industry. She raised her three sons here and was a substitute for the Rochester Community Schools for many years. She has spent the last six years teaching as a 3rd and 5th grade teacher at Dove Academy of Detroit.

She is so excited to have this opportunity to teach at Blooming Brains Academy. Children and teaching have always been a priority with Colleen. She believes that children are our future and that making a difference in a child’s life is a wonderful way to contribute to society.
